Member Appreciation & Annual Meeting Guide

All News

We’re bringing our members together for an evening of food, fun and family activities—and we can’t wait to connect with you! This year, we’ve reimagined our Annual Meeting to give you more ways to experience your cooperative, learn something new and enjoy the evening with your family. Here’s what you can expect!

Door Prizes and Gifts

Members who attend will receive a registration gift while supplies last. And make sure to drop your registration card in our raffle drum for door prize drawings. We’ll draw for door prizes every 15 minutes, starting at 5:45, with the grand finale occurring after our business meeting. Must be present to win!

Earn Extra Prizes for Connecting with Your Co-op

Pick up a Connections Card at our registration table and visit select activities throughout the event. You’ll earn a prize at each participating booth. When you complete all the designated challenges, return your card for a chance to be entered into an additional prize drawing!

Meal Details

We’ve got dinner covered! Sinton’s newest BBQ restaurant, Fatheads, will be serving up chopped brisket sandwiches. To help us ensure we have enough food for everyone, each registered SPEC member may receive up to four BBQ meal tickets for themselves and their guests in attendance. Meal tickets will be distributed at the registration table.

Our partners at Texas Electric Cooperatives will also be on site with a food trailer offering hot dogs and hamburgers for those looking for a BBQ alternative. Meal tickets are not required at this station.

Touch-A-Truck

Get up close with the vehicles and equipment that help keep our communities powered and protected! Explore SPEC's fleet and other emergency and service vehicles, and don't miss the chance to see HALO-Flight's helicopter. We expect it to be on display if it’s not needed for emergency response. It's a hands-on experience the whole family will enjoy!

EV Experience

Curious about electric vehicles? Come see them up close and learn more about the future of transportation. Tesla and Aztec Chevrolet will have EVs on site for members to explore.

Kids Power Zone

There's plenty of fun for our youngest members, too! Kids can explore hands-on STEM activities, play games and enjoy activities designed just for them.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Energy

What will the electric industry look like in the years ahead? From electric vehicles and emerging technologies to the growing demand for electricity from large energy users and data centers, the industry is changing rapidly.

At 6:15 p.m., join Jennah Denney, Senior Technology Integration and Electrification Manager at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) for a special presentation exploring the trends and innovations shaping the future of electricity. Denney will discuss the growth of electric vehicles, the changing needs of the electric grid and what emerging energy demands could mean for electric cooperatives and the communities they serve.

Annual Meeting

At 7 p.m., we’ll pause the festivities for our annual business meeting. We’ll share important updates about your cooperative,  conduct the official business of the cooperative and announce our 2026 Board of Directors’ Election results.

Have a Question? Ask Us!

We want to hear from you! Throughout the evening, you’ll have opportunities to visit with SPEC employees, our General Manager and Board members and ask questions directly.

You can also submit a question using the QR code or a question card available at the event. We’ll answer submitted questions directly by the following week. Our get a head start and ask us now by filling out this online form.

To keep our business meeting focused and streamlined, we will not have a live Q&A session during the meeting this year.
