In honor of Earth Day this month, San Patricio Electric Cooperative will host an electronic waste recycling event at its office in Sinton on Saturday, April 26. The event will run from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The fast-paced technological innovations we experience in the world today can lead to a lot of discarded electronics. The goal of e-waste recycling is to reduce the environmental impact of such waste by repurposing old devices and extracting valuable materials for new products.
If you have any old electronics collecting dust, it’s the perfect opportunity to safely and properly dispose of these items. This free event is open to the community, including local businesses. SPEC employees will help unload, sort and properly recycle items collected through this event.
Everything collected will be sent to a certified e-waste recycling company, with a strict no-landfill policy. All recycled electronics will be processed and repurposed responsibly.
